
Professor Haroon Ullah, Harvard University & S.A.B.
Senior Negotiation Consultant
Haroon Ullah is MindSight’s lead negotiation consultant and trainer, and the primary Middle East specialist of MindSight’s strategic negotiations partner, the S.A.B. Negotiation Group. Mr. Ullah is currently teaching at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government, where he is a fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs through the Dubai Initiative. He is particularly adept in private equity, real estate, and cross-cultural negotiations, as well as issues of leadership and management.
To date the S.A.B. Negotiation Group has consulted on over USD 16 billion worth of transactions, with Mr. Ullah personally consulting on over USD 5 billion worth of transactions, as well as a number of issues where money is not involved, such as conflict resolution, internal negotiations and policy negotiations. Mr. Ullah and the S.A.B. Group’s corporate clients include a number of renowned financial organizations such as Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Citadel Investments, Zurich Financial, Khazanah and JP Morgan/Chase, as well as over 100 of the Global Fortune 500, including Google, Starbucks, Pfizer, Siemens, GE M&A Group, Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble, the NBA, Eastman/Kodak, and Dole Foods, as well as the United Nations and 44 national governments. In the UAE, he has worked with leading companies such as Istithmar, Sama Dubai, Limitless, ADNIP and ADIA.
Mr. Ullah has taught negotiation training through Harvard's world renowned Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School, a consortium of faculty from Harvard Law School, Harvard Business School, the Kennedy School of Government and MIT. Mr. Ullah has also held positions at the World Bank and with the U.S. Government. Mr. Ullah holds an MPA from Harvard University, where he was a William J. Fulbright scholar. While at the Kennedy School of Government, Mr. Ullah has conducted research on negotiation skill and theory, and their application in corporate, non-profit and government settings. Mr. Ullah’s negotiation training and consulting work has taken him all over the world.
